Return Policy

This Return Policy explains how returns, exchanges and refunds work for items bought from the Xakriondghapin gear shop. It is written to be straightforward and to sit alongside your statutory rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

1. Cooling-off window

You may return an unused gear shop item to us within 30 days of pickup or delivery for a full refund of the item price. Items must be in their original packaging, unwashed, and free from marks of use beyond a careful try-on indoors.

2. How to start a return

  1. Send us a message through the Contacts page with your order reference and the item you would like to return.
  2. A volunteer will reply within two working days with return instructions and a return address.
  3. Pack the item securely and post it back, or drop it in to the clubroom during opening hours.

3. Refunds

Once the returned item is received and checked, we will issue a refund to the original payment method within seven working days. Bank processing times can add a few extra days at your end.

4. Exchanges

If you would prefer a different size or colour, let us know in your first message and we will set the new item aside while your return is on its way.

5. Faulty items

If an item arrives faulty or develops a fault that is clearly not the result of normal walking use, please contact us as soon as you notice the problem. We will arrange a free return and offer a repair, replacement or full refund in line with the Consumer Guarantees Act.

6. Items we cannot accept

  • Items returned more than 30 days after pickup or delivery, unless faulty.
  • Items showing wear from outdoor use, including scuffs and weather marks.
  • Custom-engraved or specially ordered items, unless faulty.

7. Postage costs

Return postage for change-of-mind returns is paid by you. Return postage for faulty items is paid by us; please ask for a prepaid label in your first message.
